This week we have been learning about Mr Men and the little Miss characters. We have made some lovely Papier-mâché characters which we have painted,we have iced biscuits with characters on them, traced pictures of Mr Men and little Miss characters, read many stories, watched a Mr Men dvd and drew and painted some fantastic characters. The children have really enjoyed this topic which we will continue next week.

The children have enjoyed playing with our new painting easel outside in the garden and telephone box in our writing area in the classroom. Look at the pictures below which we have taken this week.

The topic for the last two weeks has been on monsters. We have been reading stories, making junk models, drawing pictures, making monster hands, making monster toast, making monster pizza, playing monster games and Mrs Knight kindly brought in some monsters from various children's films.

On Tuesday Mrs Lemming came in to talk to the children about what happens in a bank. We have set up a bank role play area outside.

Learning to use the Atm machine, pressing the code and using the debit card.

Counting out pennies for customers.

Visiting the bank manager.
